The Bible Faculty Summit is issuing two different calls for papers for the 2026 Summit, to be held Tuesday, July 28–Thursday July 30, 2026, at Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Plymouth, MN.
- We welcome, as usual, papers on any topics you are working on.
- We will give preference to those who use one of the following topics, which are meant for possible inclusion in the monograph that Cory Marsh is spearheading:
- Biblical Theology and Expository Preaching
- Biblical Theology and Literary Approaches to Biblical Interpretation
- The Interplay of Biblical Theology and Narrative Analysis in a Book Theology
- Biblical Theology as a Necessary Tool for Biblical Counseling
- Cross-disciplinary approaches of Biblical Theology and Behavioral Sciences
- The Integration of Biblical Theology and Ethics
- The Impact of Biblical Theology on the Exegesis of the Gospels
- The Impact of Biblical Theology on the Exegesis of the Pauline Letters
- Biblical Theology and Rhetorical Criticism
- Biblical Theology and Discourse Analysis
The committee believes that few of the 2025 papers that were intended for possible inclusion in the proposed monograph were truly related to its proposed theme, which is “Biblical Theology and Its Intersection with Various Disciplines.” The exception was Paul Himes’ paper, ”Biblical Theology as a Nexus of Christian Intellectual Disciplines,” which we think may serve as a helpful intro to the volume. The above list of topics (though we welcome other ideas along those lines) represents what we feel we need to see if we are to produce a cohesive monograph volume.
Please send in your proposals by Saturday, May 30. The committee will do its best to get approvals and rejects back within the following week.
Notes
- Remember to keep papers to 30 minutes to allow for discussion time.
- Your paper need not be completed till 24 hours prior to your delivering it, but we do ask that you read a paper as opposed to giving a talk.
